WCG Update
World Casino Games Internet Usage
The World Casino Games is using the Internet extensively to assist in administration of the year-long World Championship of Gambling Event.
Players are able to register online at www.gamblingtimes.com/wcg, at which time they will obtain a unique player registration number. Once a player has a registration number, they are able to access the player sign-up system at www.gamblingtimes.com/login to find event locations and times, and register for specific events up to 30 days in advance. The sign-up system allows players to search for an event first by region, then by game, then by casino, and then specific event date and time.
Participating casinos have their own username and password to access to the World Casino Games Administration website, where they will be able to register players, enter or remove players from events, add or delete scheduled events, and view the current status of future World Casino Games events.
The World Casino Games staff will be maintaining an online Q&A Page where casino administrators will be able to find answers to frequently asked questions regarding the running of World Casino Games events.
The Internet will also be used extensively for marketing of the World Casino Games, which has over 10.7 Billion ad impressions scheduled over the next year and a half, many of those on the Internet. Those impressions include: online marketing and advertising, E-Mail newsletters, and World Casino Games software, which will allow users to play simulated tournaments on their computers.
World Casino Games Tournament Changes
The World Casino Games is pleased to announce the following changes that have been made to the tournament format and schedule:
• The Finals Round will now be held Nov. 30–Dec. 20, 2003. Each of the six events will be held consecutively, giving players the opportunity to qualify in more than one game. After a break for Christmas, the Grand Finals Round will begin on Dec. 31, 2003 on an 8-day Caribbean cruise.
• Slots has been added as one of the six games, replacing Pai Gow Poker. Players will now have the opportunity to compete in one or all of the following six games: Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Slots, and Video Poker.
• The Internet play portion of the tournament has been removed, however, players will still be able to use the Internet for registration, event sign-up and other World Casino Games tournament administration purposes.
